Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) is seeking a Securities Lending specialist to support the management and oversight of agent lending activity

This Global Trading and Liquidity role sits within a strategic part of our asset management capability, incorporating liquidity and short duration portfolios as well as securities financing and lending

The Securities Lending Specialist will support the development of lending programmes as well as broader investment and financing initiatives. The successful individual will be an integral part of the Global Trading and Liquidity function, supporting the extension of the LGIM management of agent lending through robust governance and optimisation.

What you’ll be doing

• Management and development of LGIM agency securities lending activity
• Evaluation and optimisation of programme performance
• Partner with third-party agents/custodians and internal functions to define policy and governance frameworks consistent with the objectives of beneficial owners and fund boards
• Ensure robust securities lending governance through presentation to Fund and Management Boards, and broader LGIM interaction with regulatory and industry bodies
• Provide technical expertise on securities lending, product evolution and market insight
• Engage at a securities lending industry level (industry bodies and regulatory authorities) and manage the implementation of regulatory requirements and new products/programmes
• Facilitate broader LGIM initiatives across securities financing and lending
• Support due diligence of third-party providers

• To be successful in this role you have experience within securities lending, agent management, trading and/or product strategy/development
• Excellent understanding of securities lending markets, participants, operating models, regulatory requirements, and the requirements of beneficial owners

Skills

• You’ll be Client focussed with great interpersonal and communication skills
• A methodological approach with a strong commercial awareness and ability identify new opportunities
• Be able to work under pressure, and either independently or as part of a team supporting broader business initiatives
