Milene, a Cyber Security apprentice, is proud of the progress she’s made: "My communication skills and confidence have grown massively because I’m working with different teams on real business scenarios. It hasn’t always been easy, but the growth is worth it. There’s far more to learn and get involved in than I ever imagined."

Afeez, a Data Apprentice in Asset Management believes his experience is unique because of the exposure he gets to broad sets of tools and business areas as part of his programme: “The team is highly innovative and embraces a wide tech stack to build efficient, user friendly solutions for stakeholders across the business. From HTML and Python to SQL, Power Automate and more, the variety of technologies creates a rich learning environment that’s hard to find elsewhere”.
Building confidence through contribution
Apprenticeships offer the chance to work alongside experienced colleagues, taking on responsibilities that matter. They can see the impact of their efforts first hand and feeling trusted by their team encourages them to share ideas which lead to meaningful contributions.
Kayi, a Data Apprentice in Cardiff feels grateful for the support she’s received: “Everyone around me is so supportive and this really exceeded my expectations! As part of my programme I’ve had to work on my presentation skills because my role involves presenting work to stakeholders. With the right support and plenty of feedback and practice, I have become much more confident”.
