Apprenticeships
Immerse yourself into the world of work following your GCSEs or A-levels, gaining practical skills whilst learning on the job. We have a growing range of apprenticeships that offer the opportunity to study industry recognised qualifications and are open to school leavers and career changes alike.
Designed for penultimate year undergraduate students. You’ll join us for 8 weeks, receiving first-hand experience of what our graduate scheme could look like, by trying out the job. At the end of the scheme, you may even have the opportunity to convert your experience into a graduate role (upon completion of your degree).
Year in Industry placements are 12 - 13 month long, for university students taking a sandwich year as part of their degree. These provide another great opportunity to learn about our business and experience what a career path at L&G could look like. At the end of the scheme, you may have the opportunity to convert your experience to a graduate role (upon completion of your degree).
The majority of our graduate roles last for 2 - 4 years and offer a professional qualification, dependant on the business area. Graduates are provided with mentors, buddies and sponsors as well as a Future Talent network, ensuring that they have the opportunity to build a strong network.

Our Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process has been designed to identify and nurture potential. Learn more about the stages you can typically you can expect to follow.
When do Future Talent roles open to application, and when are the Assessment Centres?
Most of our Graduate roles open to application in October, our Internships in November, and our Apprenticeships in February.
Here is an indicative guide on when we expect our Assessment Centres to typically take place, although this can change: Graduate (December and January), Intern (January and February), Apprentice (March and April).
However please note that some roles may open to application outside of these timeframes and therefore assessment centre timings will differ.

Do candidates need to meet any requirements to apply?
Graduate roles require a 2.1 degree, Internship and Year in Industry students should
be on track to achieve a 2.1
Apprenticeship role requirements vary depending on the apprenticeship provider,
however, all candidates are required to have the right to work in the UK. Typically, we
require a minimum of x 3 C’s at A Level (96 UCAS points)
Am I eligible to apply for a position if I require a visa?
We do not offer sponsorship for our Apprenticeship and Summer Internship schemes.
However, we do offer sponsorship for some roles on our Graduate scheme.
Can I apply to more than one programme?
We intend to open our Graduate applications in October, our Internship in November
and our Apprenticeship opportunities also in November. However, some roles may
open later than these dates so please keep an eye on our website. You’ll receive information on how to contact us, once you submit your application.
Does L&G support reasonable adjustments?
Yes. We encourage all applicants to put their best foot forward, so if you require
additional support, please let us know as soon as possible.

We understand sometimes things happen beyond our control or expectation, so we will consider extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Please contact your recruitment contact – their details will be shared with you once you’ve applied.
Do you have application closing deadlines?
We do not have application deadlines and recruit on a rolling basis, we recommend applying so soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
What offices are Future Talent opportunities available in?
Currently we offer opportunities in London, Cardiff and Hove.
