Job Description

Contract Type - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Your role at a glance

Our Intermediary Protection Team are excited to announce this fantastic opportunity for a customer focused and outgoing individual, with an interest in a career in Sales, to join our Intermediary Sales Team as a Trainee Telephone Business Development Manager.

In this exciting role you'll use your customer service and sales skills to develop opportunities within the lower supporting account segment. You'll manage a variety of relationships to deliver improved sales results, quality & profitability targets from this segment of accounts.

You'll have the chance to do this through an agreed business development plans and individual accounts utilising technology in all aspects to improve efficiency and reducing the cost of acquisition.

What you'll be doing

  • To achieve agreed account sales performance targets, through building business relationships in the lower supporting account segment across the range of Protection products  .
  • To establish, define and maintain a business plan to drive account development, relationship management and product promotion, through a developed contact strategy across an allocated account panel.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, to improve the lower volume supporting account segment understanding of our products and propositions that grows the business and collates market intelligence that helps shape our market offering
  • To work in an effective partnership with all colleagues in Intermediated Division and across the wider Retail business, to maximise commercial value and business expectations are achieved. .
  • Utilise tech solution to widen adviser reach , at scale and ensuring individual messaging is received by the firm & adviser customers.
  • To maintain a high level of knowledge of competitor and own products and propositions, as well as industry and marketplace awareness so you deliver a superior, expert and quality interface with your account panel.
  • Manage the account panel by following the DQM risk management programme
  • Interact with accounts, and handle any customer complaints in difficult and sensitive situations with sympathy and empathy in order to resolve customer queries
  • Act in accordance with L&G’s Customer Experience and Treating Customer Fairly Policies.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • You'll need to be an innovative individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a Sales or Customer Service role would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience and knowledge of Protection products would be high desirable.
  • Sales experience gained in Financial Services would be highly advantageous.
  • You'll need to love building relationships with people, and we have the drive and creativity to seek out opportunities.
  • Your attention to detail will be key as you manage a varied workload.
