Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust and scalable applications using cutting-edge technologies.

What you'll be doing 

• Working with the most modern technology to deliver innovative solutions for our customers
• Hands-on designing and developing existing and new applications
• Working in an agile environment, alongside colleagues from LGIM and third-party companies
• Mentoring junior team members including code reviews, problem solving, development and code standards including security standards
• Delivering high quality software supported by fully automated testing frameworks
• Creating opportunities for your own learning and growth, as well as sharing finding with your peers
• Deploying developed applications using set tools and pipelines to all environments on container-based cloud platforms.

• Core Java development skills
• Experience with Java Core, Spring / Quarkus framework and Linux
• Microservices architecture
• Understanding of computing science fundamentals – concurrency, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, etc.
• Good understanding of build activities across the SDLC including unit testing, system testing, integration, security, and performance testing
• Relentless focus on delivering business value through sound engineering methods and principles
• Working experience with Kafka for event driven communication between services
• Experience in Cloud Applications
• Docker based container development and deployment on Kubernetes
• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub etc
• Experience in Automated testing and TDD
• Experience with Software Engineering collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence etc.
