Senior Product Manager - PMC Governance

The role sits within LGIM's Product Team with a specific focus on "PMC" which is an entity which offers a broad range of funds through its unit-linked life insurance structure. PMC's funds are exclusively utilised by institutional pension schemes, both defined benefit and defined contribution, in relation to pension assets. Its has an extensive range of funds invested across a wide range of asset classes, asset types and strategies. The role is to support PMC from a broad governance perspective covering both fund and corporate requirements ensuring that Product activities are carried out consistently with business ethics, values and stakeholder requirements at defined levels of risk.

Responsibilities:

• assessing and providing technical input into the implications of new funds and amendments on the operating model or risk appetite of PMC, 
• providing support for other LGIM teams with guidance in relation to PMC resolution issues and general query resolution, 
• maintenance of a suite of fund literature and the supporting data
• assisting with maintaining a schedule of PMC specific policy updates
• undertaking periodic reviews of the PMC range from a governance perspective
• assisting with specific governance led projects relating to PMC issues and/or contributing to wider business projects as a PMC subject matter expert

The role holder will be using their understanding the specific features of PMC (or similar unit-linked entities), the need for applying good governance practises and the impact of relevant regulations. The role involves working closely with many areas across LGIM in relation to both Product activity and wider governance activity in relation to PMC as an entity. Key stakeholders include; Investments, Distribution, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Tax.

• Previous experience in launching, operating, closing and amending pooled investment funds
• Product life cycle management
• Risk and governance frameworks
• Experience in senior stakeholder engagement; ability to influence and engage at all levels across the firm and externally (suppliers and Boards etc.)
• Demonstrates high attention to detail and seeks continual improvement and efficiency in delivery of processes
• Cares about doing the right thing and takes ownership to see things through to conclusion
