Head of Insurance - Distribution and Partnerships

Reporting to Managing Director, the Head of Insurance Distribution & Partenrship will be responsible for leading the development of new distribution agreements and partnerships on behalf of Legal & General Capital with 3rd party insurance groups.

As the role covers all geographical regions, you will be required to design a coherent, focused growth strategy with an emphasis on key account management. This strategy will fit within the wider Distribution Model and deliver growth through the building of market awareness, engagement with key stakeholders (both internally and externally), development of suitable investment structures and delivery of an excellent ongoing client experience. There will also be a requirement to achieve this in full collaboration with the wider L&G Group and our existing investment partners.

This is a critical hire, and we will require you to have knowledge of investment practices across the (re)insurance industry, particularly in the life sector. You'll need an understanding of the Pensions Risk Transfer industry and its capital dynamics, along with familiarity with regional Regulatory Capital regimes and how they drive asset demand.

Experience of generating pipeline and subsequent capital raising from Tier 1 insurance groups is required, alongside a track record of building long term, scalable partnerships. A strong preference is for someone with experience in private asset investing including, but not limited to real estate and infrastructure

As channel head, you will need to lead by example. You must show that you are collaborative but assertive in your leadership style, and can set strategy whilst ensuring collective buy-in.
