We’re recruiting for a Digital Infrastructure NED to join us.

The focus will be on equity investments into businesses and assets, focuses primarily on: data centres, fibre, wireless infrastructure (e.g. towers) and managed services.

The key target geographies are: EU and UK, with smaller allocation to Rest of World (mostly N America).  Our typical Individual equity investments typically range from €50-500m (including co-invest), ranging from minority to majority board seat stakes.

As a NED, you will be a member of the Investment Committee (IC) overseeing and contributing into L&G Asset Management’s digital infrastructure investment decisions.  You will assess and provide views on new investments and contribute into key decision making on existing investments and strategies presented to the IC. The role will also cover the following areas:

What you'll be doing:

• Advise on overall digital infrastructure investment strategy, including successfully growing the franchise.
• Assist the investment team with ideas for sourcing of new investments, utilising their network.
• Contribute into the investment team on portfolio management strategy and management of existing investments. 
• Managing an investment committee.  Internal stakeholder management.
• Interacting with external stakeholders to L&G, such as investors in relation to fundraisings or sometimes portfolio company management in relation to investment matters.
• There may be opportunities to join the boards of some investee companies, alongside investment team colleagues.
• Please not this position is a regulated role. 

The role is expected to require 2-3 days per month on average.

Who we're looking for:

• Significant experience in one or more digital infrastructure sub sectors, ideally one of these subsectors will be data centres, where the team expect a majority of investments to be made.
• You will have a deep / broad industry and professional network and will likely be from one or more of the following backgrounds: advisor, company management or investor. 
• You must be knowledgeable of private investment funds and strategies.
• You will need to be resilient, commercial minded and forward thinking.
• Previous or current experience as a NED is also desirable.
