Job Description

The L&G Performance and Reporting team is responsible for delivering market‑leading client reporting and performance solutions across the firm’s suite of investment offerings. This mandate includes client reporting and performance attribution, supporting both external clients and internal investment management teams.

The team partners closely with Client Solutions, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Operations, and Technology to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and timely reporting outcomes. A continued focus on modernization, automation, and operational excellence is central to supporting L&G’s objective of providing a superior and consistent client experience.

Role Description

The Manager of Client Performance  and Reporting will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and ongoing evolution of reporting and performance services provided to internal and external clients across LGIMA’s credit, index, and LDI investment strategies.

This role will play a key leadership position in driving change initiatives, with a strong focus on embracing technology, automation, and process enhancement to improve scalability, efficiency, and control. The Manager will oversee day‑to‑day delivery while also shaping the future state of reporting and performance capabilities.

The position includes accountability for engagement with third‑party performance and reporting platforms, strengthening governance and processes around these systems, and leading initiatives to streamline and automate workflows where possible. The Manager will also own the relationship with L&G London counterparts, ensuring alignment, effective collaboration, and consistency across regions.

 

  • Oversee the delivery of client reporting, performance measurement, and attribution across the firm, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and long‑term growth of the Client Reporting and Performance function, with a focus on modernization and scalability.
  • Manage and deliver change initiatives and project work, including “side‑of‑desk” projects, in partnership with Technology and other stakeholders.
  • Own and maintain the relationship with L&G’s LGIM London counterparts, ensuring strong collaboration, alignment of standards, and effective cross‑regional delivery.
  • Partner closely with Investment teams, Client teams, Marketing, Operations, Technology, and Compliance to enhance reporting quality, system reliability, automation, and overall operational scalability.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering; advanced degree in a financial field and/or CFA preferred.
  • Strong mindset focused on improving efficiency through process optimization, standardization, and automation.
  • Excellent quantitative reasoning, problem‑solving skills, and a high attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 2+ years in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Solid understanding of capital markets and the investment management industry, experience in fixed income preferable.
  • Strong understanding of performance measurement methodologies and attribution models.
  • Proven experience with performance calculations across asset classes and strategies.
  • Familiarity with client reporting delivery within an investment management organization.
  • Intellectually curious and intuitive, with the ability to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex initiatives concurrently.
  • Self‑confident leader capable of operating independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and global stakeholders.
  • Highly proactive and client‑focused, with a strong commitment to meeting internal and external deliverables and deadlines.
  • Strong individual initiative with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive work forward.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a changing and growing organization.
  • Experience with market data and portfolio tools such as Bloomberg and FactSet.
  • Experience with SQL, VBA, or other programming languages is a plus.

Additional Information

$100,000 - $130,000

The starting salary offer will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s education, job-related experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location, and market factors. This position is also eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan. Full time employees may be eligible for health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare, Dependent and Limited Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, an employee assistance program, and commuter and transit programs.  Additional voluntary programs include: supplemental health benefits including accidental injury, critical illness and hospital indemnity insurance and pet insurance.
