We’re recruiting for a Senior Account Manager to build and develop broad relationships with LGIM’s Wholesale Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) target accounts, ensuring a long term strategic relationship is maintained through proactive business planning including negotiating the appropriate commercial terms whilst coordinating the internal support resource and its deployment. This role can be carried out from anywhere in the UK.
What you'll be doing
- Meeting or exceeding sales performance targets, delivering revenue by compliant product distribution including the client commercial negotiations whilst recommending and owning the terms approved by the fee committee. Thereafter managing and monitoring the on-going client relationship to ensure the terms agreed by the fee committee are adhered to, implementing corrective actions if and as required
- Developing and managing a portfolio of advisory firms by relationship managing the key client decision influencers. Developing an intimate understanding of the clients’ business objectives using a variety of sources, creating a joint business plan, including a client contact strategy, distribution service/marketing model, commercial opportunities, and bespoke solutions
- Maintaining high level knowledge of L&G Investment’s MPS ranges and the investment philosophy, ensuring the client’s investment objectives are delivered. This will include managing and inputting into the RFP process as well as working closely with the LGIMs fund management team where necessary
- Guiding the regional account managers and the sales support team tin identifying and developing new Intermediary relationships. Acting as a role model for the Wholesale Sales Team providing guidance to other members of the team based on the L&G Asset Management behaviours. Maintaining a professional disposition and liaising with colleagues so the Wholesale Sales Team operates as a single business unit
- Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of competitors and market trends with Model Portfolio Solutions. Using knowledge to identify business opportunities and incorporating them into a business plan. Proactively feeding back on product requirements and ideas to the propositions and investment management teams so L&G Asset Management become best in class
- Proactively creating and executing a 3-month forward rolling plan for LGIMs fund management professionals; client interaction providing impact analysis feedback and central event engagement
- Representing LGIM at third party events including group client presentations as a fund and market trend subject matter expert. Supporting, presenting and hosting (as required) L&G Asset Management's centrally organised client events
- Ensuring all activity is in accordance with the Group’s requirements and regulatory duties, including that customers are treated fairly in line with L&G’s Customer Experience and TCF/Consumer Duty Policy
Who we're looking for:
- Proven commercial knowledge and the ability to negotiate pre-agreed commercial rates with the clients
- In depth business planning capability across the client portfolio
- Strong investment knowledge and a clear understanding of L&G Asset Management's broad product range. In-depth knowledge of MPS
- Good understanding of investment processes and philosophies
- Detailed knowledge of Intermediaries and their business drivers. Have a clear understanding of competitors and market dynamics
- The ability to understand and positively challenge the clients thinking, articulate and communicate a win win outcome
- Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner
- Strong presentation skills for groups
- Experience of using Salesforce and Financial Clarity
- Ability to deliver product targets from a portfolio consisting of up to 150 advisers
- IMC or equivalent or studying towards qualification
