Operational Risk Analyst

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + competitive bonus and benefits

We are currently hiring an Operational Risk Manager to join our growing team.

In this role, you will support the Group Enterprise and Operational Risk team in the assessment and reporting on the design, operation and effectiveness of the Group’s internal control framework, using risk management tools and data analytics to provide meaningful insights into the operation of the framework.

Additionally, you will support in the 2nd line management and oversight of the Group’s change, operational resilience and third party risk profiles and the oversight of the Group Business Units.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting on the risk based oversight of the Non- Financial risk areas, ensuring adoption and training on risk management policies and assurance over effectiveness of controls.
• Supporting “deep dive” reviews and lessons learnt reviews on material risk events or business practices.
• Supporting with risk management practices, including the use of OSX.
• Supporting with the production of MI and reporting.
• Working with the wider Group Operational and Enterprise Risk team under the guidance of senior team members to deliver against the strategic priorities.
• Being a proactive and productive team member by constantly looking to develop personal knowledge.
• Working in line with all relevant processes and procedures to ensure that quality and governance remains of paramount importance throughout the risk management framework.
• Working with the wider Group Risk team to ensure that the appropriate process, systems, and controls are in place and that the risks and issues are identified and escalated in Group Risk, to ensure that customers are treated fairly in line with Legal & General’s Customer Experience and TCF policy.

What we're looking for

• A relevant degree or demonstrable experience working in a similar field.
• An understanding of, and interest in Risk and Control management and a good understanding of IT and digital systems.
• Strong use of Microsoft tools
• Experience of working independently to provide broad support to the Group Operational Risk function
• Strong inter-personal skills for dealing with a variety of people at a range of seniority internally
