The Investments Data Lead is responsible for the representation, management and prioritisation of data requirements on behalf of Investments with Technology and Data partners. This includes the formulation, prioritisation and implementation of tactical and strategic data solutions to support Investments’ strategic growth initiatives, which aim to create efficiencies and maximize profitable growth within appropriate risk and compliance controls.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting all investment data BAU needs, including: Escalation point for investment data issues, new Issue investigation/resolution and ensuring data solutions are fit for purpose
• Taking ownership and maintenance of investments enterprise data and collaboration to maintain mapping into investments processes and ensuring alignment to Investments’ overall data strategy
• Being accountable for investment data requirements related to all types of change initiatives; agile tactical builds, for prototyping new ideas with the desks and ensure relevant investment areas are consulted and have visibility of impact.
• Management of a backlog of investment data deliverables to support & delivering the design, data model and building the data solution
• Working with investments technology partners to build a cost-effective solution
• Establish process for data updates and issue resolution & alignment of investments data solutions to data strategy
• Providing expertise and insight into data trends, offering innovative improvement ideas into the overall data strategy
• Define and implement governance framework that are appropriate for Investments & ensure all data solutions are implemented with appropriate risk and compliance controls

Who we're looking for:

• Deep data skills developed in an asset management or similar financial services background
• Knowledge of the investment management process, instruments, trade strategies, and risk analytics requirements
• Outstanding knowledge of Investments data and technology systems, their inter-relationships with each other and dependencies
• Must have worked in the Financial Sector in a comparable role or have a proven track record in the role’s core competencies.
• Track record of designing, building and enhancing Investments data models and technology solutions within a global environment
• Highly developed relationship and stakeholder management
• Track record of constructively and credibly interacting with Investment teams to understand their requirements and deliver upon them in a positive manner.
• A track record of constructively and credibly interacting with teams outside of Investments to ensure all parties work together to successfully deliver strategic technology requirements.
• Python and SQL programming experience is a plus, as well as Cloud storage, AWS/Azure environments
