The role’s focus is to maintain, enhance and continuously improve the risk-based assurance and surveillance programme across the Investments business area; investigating, reporting and remediating any issues identified (with the relevant business areas); supporting Investments teams in maintaining compliant policies and arrangements; and providing advice and guidance on Investments compliance-related items to the Investments teams and the CIO. The Role Holder will also be responsible for preparing reports on issues identified as well as regular MI for various committees or as requested from time to time.

What you'll be doing:

• Being responsible for defining best practice in investment process across investment teams in LGIM and LGIMA
• Enhancing operational efficiency through promotion and facilitation of increased collaboration between investment teams globally
• Providing thought leadership in introducing consistency in process design by working in partnership with the global investment teams – understanding their existing challenges and trade-offs to determining the right outcome for business areas and LGIM and LGIMA
• Contributing towards divisional policy on improving fund oversight and governance Disseminate and update the Investment Team on each policy while creating processes to monitor and evidence adherence
• Engaging with business partners across Operational Risk, Compliance, Distribution, Product and Middle office to develop a robust and scalable end-to-end global investment framework
• Working  with Compliance to embed any necessary policy and / or procedural changes to ensure LGIM continues to meet its high standards of compliance; monitor changes in the market and ensure floor-wide policies are updated as needed

• Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end investment process
• A deep appreciation of investment and operational risk
• Experience in technology migration and investment process design across asset classes and instruments
• Proven track record in increasing scalability in an investment context
• Ability to generate a positive outcome with stakeholders
• Dynamic individual with outcome-oriented outlook
• Ability to assess and generate progressive solutions
