Identity & Access Management Architect

We have an exciting opportunity for an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Architect to join us on an 18-month fixed term contract!

You’ll support the secure design and development of IAM solutions across Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) IT. Supporting key projects and change initiatives across LGIM and the wider divisions, you’ll conduct information security risk assessments for the Identity within IT projects, and oversee and input on enhancements to provisioning, recertification & Privileged Access Management processes, as part of the Identity Lifecycle Management activities across LGIM.

What you'll be doing

• Understanding IAM control requirements, as defined in Legal & General’s security policies, standards and IT control framework and translating them into architecture patterns and solution designs, to help advise project managers and developers across the business
• Collaborating with Group IT IAM to review and advise LGIM on architectural designs and recommending IAM controls to be implemented into Group IT and LGIM projects, to help ensure key identity risks are mitigated at the design phase
• Maintaining awareness of current and emerging security risks and the changing threat landscape and recommending mitigating solutions to Project Managers and Developers to help ensure security enhancement and controls are pro-actively applied
• Supporting the development and maintenance of identity principles and building blocks and defining security architecture reference models to help ensure efficient application and risk mitigation across Group and business divisions
• Assisting in the evaluation and selection of identity management technology and products as defined in the security technology roadmap, to help ensure that the selected tooling aligns with LGIM’s and Legal & General’s control requirements
• Reviewing the configuration of existing systems or solutions and identifying security issues which require a change to its configuration, providing improvement recommendations and escalating any potentials risks to help ensure security risks are pro-actively managed
• Overseeing vendors responsible for providing IAM tools and services and escalating any process deficiencies and remediation actions required to the IAM Manager to help ensure providers meet contractually defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) required to manage Legal & General risk

What we're looking for

• You’ll have a good understanding of general security practices such as encryption, IAM, security information and event management etc. and supporting technologies
• Knowledge in the development of multi-tier and cross-platform security architecture plans
• An in-depth understanding of network security technologies such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, web application firewalls, network access control etc would also be great
• Information Security and /or Information Technology industry certification (CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, GIAC or equivalent) strongly preferred
• Prior experience in delivering highly technical and innovative security engineering / design products
• An understanding of cloud security architecture would be a huge plus!
