Job Description

Our Corporate Affairs and Group Brand function is accountable for developing and driving Legal & General’s brand profile and reputation, engaging across audiences to increase understanding, build advocacy and drive delivery of our purpose and business goals.

The Group Brand Digital Channel Manager is responsible for producing and delivering brand content and external communications across multiple channels including the Group (corporate) website and owned social media platforms.

In this autonomous role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across the UK and International businesses, including but not exclusively with our Investor Relations team, external media teams, employer reputation and internal communications teams, Sustainability team and Group Brand colleagues.

What you'll be doing:

1. Supporting the implementation of the social media strategy in line with the overarching brand and content strategies.

To include:

  • Managing and optimising online campaigns to reach target audiences and enhance our reputation, driving the achievement of audience engagement objectives at good commercial return on investment,
  • identify, advise and support colleagues on social and website content strategy, processes, channels and best practice,
  • continually review working relationships, outputs and outcomes of appointed agencies and work,
  • ensuring social content meets highest UX, brand and accessibility standards,
  • liaising with and briefing internal departments, including employer reputation and internal communications, and external agencies.
  • ongoing optimisation of Group social media with the wider Group Brand Content Team, to include channel strategy, governance, and the implementation of best practice,
  • supporting CX community management,
  • working to amplify and manage senior leader social media profiles and support with social employee advocacy initiatives,
  • horizon scanning for best social media practice and emerging digital technologies and trends, review new technologies and digital opportunities, and proposes where benefit can come from these opportunities in order to ensure our digital capabilities remain competitive.

 

2. Managing the content and structure of the Legal & General Group (corporate) website, to ensure our evolving content themes, and visual identity are constantly reflected to correctly position the organisation and engage target audiences: through creating, publishing and optimising content, through SEO; and through working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.

To include:

  • project managing site developments,
  • proposing new strategies for digital content delivery and how the site content can be optimised (including working with an external SEO agency),
  • supporting strategically important online financial publications (i.e. half year and full year results),
  • maximising the impact/reach of Group external media announcements via the site (including thought leadership, campaigns and other research reports and business announcements),
  • managing the website hosting, maintenance and development requirements of the site,
  • supplier management,
  • managing close alignment with our Group IT and Risk teams,
  • managing projects to continually improve UX and UI to ensure site remains best in class,
  • supporting our global brand standards.

 


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Degree or appropriate work experience in a communications role. You may also have a professional digital marketing or social media qualification, but this is not essential. 

Knowledge:

Knowledge of effective digital communications, especially LinkedIn, and web project management and creative skills in writing and developing communications material

Experience:

Experience in communications, preferably in a regulated environment

Leadership:

Line management experience, motivating and coaching small teams
