Your role at a glance

We're excited to be hiring for a Fund Accountant to join our Investment Operations department within Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM). This is a fantastic opportunity for Finance graduates or those studying towards a Professional Accounting qualification to join the brilliant Property Fund Accounting Team. 

What you'll be doing

• You will be posting and reconciliation of cash
• You will be involved with the preparation of NAV statements and investor reporting packs
• You will be assisting with preparation of annual statutory accounts in line appropriate accounting standards/preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• You will be liaising with external lawyers, auditors, Business Partners and assisting with Investor requests;
• You will be involved with the production of property fund data/ VAT returns and other tax compliance reporting
• You will be responsible for cash management including arranging payments, managing investor drawdowns and monitoring liquidity;
• You will ensure adequate finance procedures are in place and implementing improved procedures where necessary
• You will support  fund and asset managers with any valuation and accounting queries. Liaising with managing agents, auditors, lawyers and trustees

• Studying towards a Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or interested in pursuing this route 
• Specialist knowledge / skills: IFRS knowledge/Excel 
• Evidence of effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
• Flexible, adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast paced and changeable environment;
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to work as part of team
• Fund accounting knowledge and experience  - desirable 
• Property knowledge and experience - desirable
• Experience with accounting for VAT, property taxes and service charges - desirable
