We have an incredible opportunity for a Data Engineer to join Legal & General Affordable Homes (LGAH), on a 2-year fixed-term contract!
This is a brand-new opportunity where you’ll be joining a dynamic team where you’ll play a crucial role in initialising and developing our Azure-based data platform. You’ll also collaborate closely with the DataOps Lead and Data Scientist to enhance our data infrastructure and capabilities across reporting, automation, integration and model construction.

What you’ll be doing
Platform Initialisation and Management
- Initiating and configuring Azure data services and tools
- Ensuring a secure, scalable, and efficient Azure data environment
Single Source of Truth (SSOT) Maintenance
- Collaborating in the maintenance and enhancement of the SSOT for organizational data
- Ensuring data integrity and accessibility across the platform
ETL Pipeline Development
- Designing, building, and maintaining robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines
- Optimising data flow and collection for cross-functional teams
Business Process Automation
- Implementing solutions to automate business processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy
- Leveraging Azure tools for automating data-related tasks
Data Integration Management
- Managing and improving data integration from various sources
- Ensuring seamless data exchange with internal and external systems
Collaboration and Communication
- Working closely with the DataOps Lead and Data Scientist to align data engineering efforts with organisational goals
- Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding data engineering projects and initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes and experience in building ETL pipelines
- Familiarity with Azure data services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, etc
- Proven experience in data engineering, specifically in Azure cloud services
- Experience in implementing data security and privacy practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
