Legal and General Retail’s Data Operations team in LGI are looking to hire a data business analyst to lead and develop a business analysis capability. The team is tasked with helping the business derive value from its enterprise data by delivering a modern data-platform and delivering data solutions to support reporting, analysis and data science capability across it’s cloud warehousing platform.
This role will see you curating strategic requirements, working with key stakeholders and SME’s to understand business demands, determining business value and developing the pathway to delivering data products. This process will involve engagement with technical and non-technical audiences to build user stories, manage change and drive the development lifecycle through to completion.
What you’ll be doing
- Collaborating with key stakeholders within the Retail Business to elicit business needs and to translate them into clear and concise business requirements.
- Managing requirement prioritizing by factoring in time, quality, and cost.
- Managing multiple work streams across the Retail division
- Facilitating workshops and meetings to initially gather requirements and then keep stakeholders and management informed.
- Managing customer expectations ensuring that delivery timescales are realistic, achievable, and communicated effectively.
- Maintaining control of change management process, adapting to Agile delivery framework.
- Building a network of contacts internal and external to the business to support change and expediting data solutions.
- Relevant professional qualifications in Business Analysis or related specialism or demonstrable evidence of relevant business/work experience at this level
- Experience of Agile Delivery Framework
- Extensive experience in Business analysis and proven delivery track record of change / transformation.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and presentation skills to influence internal and external stakeholders
- The willingness to embrace new technologies and influence other parts of the business to adopt
- The ability to demonstrate flexibility and pragmatism
- Background in working in Data environment and delivering data solutions at scale
- Ability to communicate complex subject matter to audiences with varying technical understanding.
- Ability to communicate to all levels of stakeholders to engage with technical colleagues and non-technical stakeholders.
- Creates an inspiring vision and clear direction that nurtures an open and honest & collaborative team ethos
