Data Analyst (6 month FTC)

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join us in Cardiff, on a 6 month fixed-term contract.

In this role, you’ll help turn complex data into clear, meaningful insight that supports informed business decisions and improves commercial performance. You’ll be a trusted expert in data visualisation, making data more accessible across the business while continuously improving how we work through automation and best practice.

What you'll be doing:

• Creating clear and engaging data visualisations that support informed decision making
• Understanding data systems and structures and linking source data to value‑adding analysis
• Developing and improving efficient, automated reporting and analytics processes
• Delivering ad hoc analysis and visualisations using data manipulation and visualisation tools
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand needs and provide impactful insights
• Maintaining and automating regular business reporting to agreed timelines
• Championing data visualisation best practice and sharing knowledge with colleagues
• Engaging in testing and stakeholder discussions to understand the impact of data and system changes

Who we're looking for:

• Experience analysing and working with large datasets with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to build dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience manipulating and transforming data using tools or languages such as SQL
• A degree in a numerate or technical subject or equivalent practical experience
• Confidence gathering requirements and working with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain insights clearly and accessibly
• An improvement‑focused mindset with an interest in automation and efficient ways of working
