Customer Service Consultant (Group Protection)

We’re recruiting for Customer Service Consultants to join our Group Protection team with a starting salary of £22,500 plus bonus*. This is a hybrid role, We have a requirement that you will work a minimum of 1 day a week in our Hove office, Monday-Friday between our core hours of 8-6, post training which starts in the New Year.

Our teams are made up of professionals from different backgrounds including call centre, retail, hospitality, and sales.

• In this department there is a 9 day fortnight shift where you can choose to work up to 8 hours a day and then have a rota’d day off bi-weekly.

What you'll be doing 

• Support the onboarding and continued scheme maintenance of Group Protection policies so we remain a top provider.
• The tasks are varied, meaning you’ll be talking to colleagues, brokers and customers regularly. It’s important to note that this role is a hybrid role which will involve administrative work or processing work and you will be talking to customers and brokers on the phone too. 
• Dealing with all correspondence from our internal and external customers, keeping them up to date on progress to ensure next stages are understood. With attention to detail and pace so that the next tasks needed can be completed promptly.
• Maintaining scheme data, administering, and updating individual customer and client records.
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure that customer enquiries and issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
• Managing and organising your own work queue to ensure that service levels are met and brokers or direct customers are kept informed of progress.
• For our most vulnerable customers, you’ll ensure you consider their circumstances and needs and take additional steps to support them through their interactions with Legal & General.

• The skills below are important to us. Rest be assured, we will show you the L&G way. You’ll be in induction for a couple of weeks so, you’ll have the tools you need before you start helping our customers and clients.
• People who love helping people! People who are straightforward, ambitious, authentic, collaborative, and purposeful.
• Strong communication and administration skills and passion to support customers, whatever their personal circumstances. Build relationships with our internal and external customers.
• Confidence in using a desktop or laptop and experienced in using MS Office.
• Confidence in using Excel is preferred but not essential
