Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to earn while you learn?

Asset Management are looking for a 13-month placement student to work in our Asset Allocation team, starting Monday 30th June 2025. 

The Asset Allocation team manage a variety of multi-asset funds which utilise the benefits of diversification to reduce risk while maintaining an attractive return to investors. The asset allocation within these funds range from relatively passive to more active in nature and can be used by defined benefit (DB) schemes, defined contribution (DC) schemes and retail investors. The team conducts a wide range of quantitative and qualitative analysis in order to determine the asset allocations that best suit clients across the range of funds. This includes tail risk analysis as well as monitoring risk and performance to ensure the funds meet their long term objectives.

You will also need to have your own valid right to work in the UK. 

The responsibilities of this role are wide ranging, and You will be exposed to a wide range of activities to help support the ongoing operations of the team. This includes:

• Join front office investment management team and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that aid the team's investment process and distribution efforts.
• interact with the teams economists, strategists, portfolio managers and investment specialists on a day to day basis.
• Both series of day to day tasks as well as ad hoc or longer term projects.
• Most work involves either qualitative or quantitative analysis of numerical data, including time series data and Python being used widely by most teams.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes; 

• On track for a 2.1 Degree in any subject – we are open to all subject backgrounds
• B in A Level Maths
• Preferably an undergraduate studying in a four-year course, however this is not mandatory.
• Curious, motivated and have a desire to learn more about a career in Investment Management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and the ability to code is desirable. Python and VBA is preferred.

Please note that this role is based in London and requires some in person working at our London office, as part of our hybrid working model.
