DC & Retail Solutions Strategy Associate

We’re currently looking to hire a Solutions Strategy Associate within our DC and Retail Strategy team.  Amongst other things this team is responsible for the management of the market leading Target Date Fund range for DC clients

DC and Retail is an important and growing business for Solutions and for Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM). The successful individual will support the team in a variety of activities focused around LGIM’s DC investment proposition,  producing accurate, timely and well-presented work to ultimately deliver great outcomes for our clients and internal teams

What you'll be doing

• Providing quantitative and qualitative analysis to support the asset allocation decisions for the Target Date Fund range
• Addressing key technical and specific client and consultant investment enquiries, liaising between fund management and distribution activities
• Assisting in the production of new business presentations and the supporting materials, such as RFPs, fund factsheets and other marketing collateral
• Supporting the team with running the analytics to fulfil quarterly and annual reporting requirements as well as supporting with presentations to a range of clients, potential clients, consultants and intermediaries
• Supporting the team with the development of the sustainability credentials of the DC investment proposition
• Supporting the team with keeping abreast of regulatory change, industry initiatives, future product development and member insights  
• Helping to expand our Solutions capabilities in Retail / Wealth
• Building strong internal relationships to achieve broader and better product knowledge and to pull together the ‘best of LGIM’ for our clients
• Providing a highly analytical approach to all work undertaken with a high level of accuracy
• Personally practice LGIM cultural values and behaviours, ensuring the maintenance of a true OneLGIM culture and helping make LGIM a business that all can be proud to work for and would recommend to others

• Demonstrate strong asset management knowledge and experience as well as knowledge of the regulatory and legislative landscape as it relates to Retail and DC pension schemes
• Actuarial or equivalent investments technical background desirable
• You’ll have strong delivery skills and look to manage and leverage key relationships within Investments, Distribution, the wider DC and Workplace teams and Legal and General Retirement (LGR) in order to help grow this rapidly changing business
• Strong academic/professional qualifications background and/or experience gained in similar positions
• Demonstrate sound, proven business and commercial judgement skills
• Strong and credible external profile amongst investment consultants, clients and market participants
• Demonstrate the ability to engage and motivate others as well as being able to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas in a logical manner
