Software Asset Management Analyst

within LGIM we have a newly created role to help process and manage day to day Software Asset Management (SAM) queries, requests and incidents and assist in the software licence reporting and compliance function managed by the Technology Operations team. These processes are key to allowing LGIM to manage its software risks, costs and compliance along with any contractual reporting obligations.  It will also help to enhance the employee experience. The role holder will not only operate these SAM processes but help to drive continuous improvement.

In your new and exciting role you will have a pleather of activities to take ownership of... 

• Monitor and manage the Software Asset Management ServiceNow request and incident queues and Software Dashboard (in ServiceNow). You will need to Manage these against SLAs, and will need to escalate to your manager as necessary. ensuring it is kept up to date, using data to help identify and trends to improve internal service delivery.

• Source the data required to carry out the processes associated with the role by interrogating internal and external systems (e.g. CMDB, supplier billing portals) and working with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Technology Operations Support teams, Group SAM analysts, TCS SAM analysts and HCL technical resources) to ensure timely delivery of the required datasets.

• Support the regular renewals, validating licence requirements, user numbers, billing validation and internal attribution / recharge cycles for cloud and other technology software suppliers managed by the Technology Operations team. Identify and contribute to the resolution of anomalies, and work with internal and external stakeholders to provide accurate and timely recharge reporting to Finance teams and cost centre managers.
• Support the data gathering and analysis of data used for software asset management, license compliance and cost optimisation. Including assisting in true-up, renewal and additional purchase activities.
• Identify opportunities for improving and formalising existing Technology Business Management team processes and support the team in articulating and documenting those processes.

During the screening and application phase of this vacancy, we appreciate this is an entry level role which will require necessary training on various platforms as well as processes and ways of working.
