You will join the central financial engineering function with-in LGIM Investments that undertakes key projects and has an enablement function to transform the way financial engineering is undertaken, a key driver for product innovation

The role is to be part of a sub-team within Investments that works exclusively with Solutions department to evolve one of the key enterprise portfolio management applications, managing assets across multi-asset classes. It’s an exciting opportunity to evolve existing codebase and build next generation of cloud-based quantitative components underpinning a platform managing half trillion £ of assets

• Building/evolving next generation quantitative model libraries and components for pricing and risk analytics, curve functionality, and other developments within a portfolio management system
• Deliver business change requests/queries and assist with model validation within a quantitative development team
• Business integration tests where we are evolving the current integration test suites into next generation tests and integrating into the CI platforms.
• Be an effective analyst developer in a small agile team in developing understanding and reassessing application features that have evolved over time to deliver new requirements

• Experience building financial applications with C# (and/or C++/Java) using best practices. Python experience is desirable
• Understanding of financial instruments and pricing models. Fixed income/interest rates/inflation exposure/FX knowledge
• Unit and integration test framework experience for large quantitative libraries and front office development platforms using C# and Python test frameworks
• Experience using databases, query language and data modelling – SQL is desirable
• Understanding of successful design, implementation, and on-going management of microservices architecture and API interfaces
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across functions like business, IT and Operations.
• Ambitious team player with intellectual honesty and ability to build consensus where needed
• Management and training of more junior team members
