We’re currently looking to hire a Senior Multi-Manager Solutions Specialist to join L&G Asset Management.

A fantastic role where you’ll work with our clients to help them manage their private market assets, including: researching new ideas, maintaining existing assets and divesting certain allocations

You’ll  conduct in-depth research and analysis on investment managers in the private markets, including private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and renewables on behalf of all client channels including DB/DC Pensions, Insurance and Wealth Management. Also aid with management of the team including work allocation, quality control of output and providing timely feedback, particularly to junior analysts

What you'll be doing:

• Working with clients to help them manage their private market assets, including: researching new ideas, maintaining existing assets and divesting certain allocations
• Working with different divisions within L&G Group to deliver the best outcomes for our clients as they progress towards de-risking solutions such as buy-ins and buyouts
• External engagement including other investment managers, intermediaries, consultants and clients
• Conducting in-depth research and analysis on investment managers in the private markets, including private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and renewables
• Engaging with investment managers and intermediaries such as brokers and consultants to onboard, maintain, or divest fund allocations and directly-held assets according to client requirements
• Supporting day-to-day aspects of multi-manager fund management, including coordinating with managers, internal teams, and clients on fundraisings, capital calls, distributions, fund extensions, liquidity opportunities, and ad-hoc queries
• Assisting in the production of manager reporting and actively contribute to the strategic development of reporting capabilities by collaborating with internal teams and external vendors
• Contributing to IT systems projects and business process projects that impact the team and related business areas
• Reviewing the risks and performance of products / propositions to ensure they continue to meet the needs, characteristics and objectives of the target market and are delivering good customer outcomes

Who we're looking for:

• Previous experience in manager research within the asset management industry / investment consultancy, or direct investment experience in a private markets context
• Strong command of private markets investments with specialised knowledge in one or more asset classes, such as private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, or renewables
• Good understanding of the investment management industry, including investment strategy, fund management, and operational considerations
• Knowledge of defined benefits and defined contribution pensions and insurance clients, particularly their objectives and constraints
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough research and provide meaningful insights within research notes and rating committees
• Superb communication skills to effectively engage with investment managers, intermediaries, internal teams, and clients
• Familiarity with investment performance measurement methodologies and reporting standards
