Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Senior DC Investment Director to champion L&G Asset Management's DC investment products and expertise within the market, aiding the acquisition of new clients, retention of existing business, strategic proposition direction and PR/marketing content. Particularly, leading our interaction with key investment advisers to elevate LGIM’s market position. Build close relationships with key internal stakeholders to service clients and provide feedback on product development.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as a key point of contact for Distribution teams on DC investment and ESG matters, including supporting new business and existing client activity. Including working with Sales teams to support their activity with key intermediary accounts and facilitate the further awareness and understanding of the DC investment proposition and roadmap. Including providing key competitor insights and information
- Instigating and developing close relationships with key DC investment advisers, providing them an understanding of LGIM’s key capabilities, particularly focusing on Private Markets investments, and influencing their ratings/views of L&G Asset Management's DC investment solutions
- Alongside the Head of DC Investments Governance and Proposition, representing L&G Asset Management's DC business at conferences and industry round tables, delivering DC thought leadership, content for client events and conferences. Representing DC at investment and ESG-related external events and as spokespeople with the press.
- Being a key investment-focused contact for several strategic clients, supporting DC bundled client relationship and Institutional teams. Building and managing relationships with DB institutional client directors and act as point of contact on DC investment related matters
- Providing feedback from clients and advisers on DC investment trends. Driving DC-specific investment product development with the investment and product teams from a DC Distribution point of view
- Maintaining a focused industry, investment and marketplace knowledge, keeping abreast of strategic developments affecting intermediary contacts and their clients, being able to discuss relevant topics in an informed manner
- Guiding, mentoring and encouraging junior members of the DC Investment team, supporting their ongoing development
- Providing pivotal points of DC investment and ESG expertise to client acquisition, client retention and product strategy
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Excellent understanding of investments across different asset classes, asset allocation and specifics of DC investments
- Deep knowledge of fund structures, operational requirements and governance
- Deep working knowledge of the DC market and provider landscape, including both bundled and unbundled DC, DC institutional and bundled platforms
- Good working knowledge of ESG factors, DC requirements in ESG space and market trends
- Experience of working with investment consultants, pension scheme Trustees and pension managers with particular focus on their priorities
- Experience of the considerations of multi-asset investing including detailed knowledge on all asset types and their market sensitivities
- Excellent client communication skills, ability to present new ideas to clients, and thorough experience of presenting at client events, conferences bespoke client meetings and pitches
- Ability to simplify complex investment ideas so that they can be grasped by members with limited investment knowledge.
