- Assisting in the planning and delivery of compliance advice for allocated business area/compliance activities, including creating internal communication materials to support business awareness and understanding.
- Working with the Head of Asset Class Oversight to ensure that timely, relevant and accurate conduct risk metrics/MI is available for allocated asset classes.
- Personally, maintaining a detailed knowledge of Group policies and compliance & conduct risk requirements. As well as keeping abreast of external changes and developments more broadly.
- Playing an active part in the wider Global Compliance team, supporting colleagues as required, in order to achieve the right outcomes for the Asset Management Division.
Who we're looking for:
- Must have previous Compliance advisory experience from an asset management background
- Previous exposure to direct investment management across asset classes and a good understanding of the end-to-end investment process.
- A good understanding of UK/EU regulation and of compliance and conduct risk within an investment management environment. Including the ability to swiftly analyse emerging regulation in order to identify impacts to L&G.
- Strong communication skills, both in terms of verbal and written communication. This will include the ability to actively engage with stakeholders and deliver technical information concerning conduct risk topics in a clear and concise manner.
- Good presentation skills including the ability to articulate and convey complex concepts and ideas to a varied audience in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to nurture and promote effective working relationships with stakeholders by openly collaborating with an outward facing approach.
- Ability to remain independent and to demonstrate that independence whilst also providing commercial, practical and value-add solutions for the business that influence outcomes positively for all stakeholders.
- Delivery focused outlook, possessing high levels of resilience and determination and be able to meet challenging deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities in an evolving and dynamic environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Relevant experience in a similar role is expected and Professional qualifications related to investments/asset management are also highly desirable.
