Senior Analyst - Collateral Oversight

We’re recruiting for a Senior Collateral Analyst to join our team in London on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role you will complete all retained derivative operations activities covering Collateral Management, and Derivatives Trade Processing (ETD & OTC Bilateral & Cleared) in line with internal and external market deadlines, policies, procedures and controls in conjunction with outsourced service provider to support L&G Asset Management's global trading activities and client service delivery.  

The primary function of the Derivative Operations function is to ensure all retained services (incl. Collateral Management and Derivative Trade Processing) and outsourced activities is effective managed and processed accordance with market deadlines and industry best practise, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality control.  

What you'll be doing 

• Completing daily derivative operations retained services/tasks (including Collateral Management and Derivative Trade Processing) effectively and in line with market and regulatory deadlines
• Proactively working with Asset Management stakeholders, outsource providers, and 3rd Parties (Brokers, Custodians, Fund Accountants, Vendors), ensuring all asset services activities are managed
• Working in partnership and collaboration with team members and outsourced provider to ensure daily tasks are completed in line with agreed service standards and deadlines (including accuracy, timeliness, and client service measures)
• Assisting the outsource provider with agreed retained services delivery for the respective service area
• Taking proactive ownership and investigating queries/issues that may arise, escalating and reporting any inconsistencies to supervisor or manager in a timely manner
• Proactively identifying control weaknesses relating to derivative operations services operating model and recommending and implementing procedural and process changes in partnership with team members, manager, and outsourced provider where applicable
• Ensuring end-to-end understanding of all operational tasks and how they relate and impact all processes. Ensuring standard ways of working are applied consistently
• Creating procedures that reflect process policies and any workflows needed to support the asset services process and activities for retained and outsourced services
• Managing operational risk and issues within the team and outsourced provider, regularly reviewing and identifying further opportunities for risk mitigation; ensuring all functional procedures are in line with policies and regulatory requirements. Promptly and clearly articulating and informing senior management and stakeholders

Who we're looking for:

• Demonstrated experience of the asset management industry/experience relevant to role and activities performed
• Knowledge of Bilateral & Cleared Collateral processes and subject matter is highly preferred
• Experience collating and analysing performance data for Collateral Management
• Knowledge of Collateral regulatory programs including UMR
• Client focussed and able to liaise with all levels of seniority internally and externally
• Strong knowledge in the outsourced service area covering operational service delivery knowledge and client expectations
