Company Description

The Product team sits within the Chief of Staff department, responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle management of LGIM’s product ranges in support of the Chief of Staff’s purpose.

The Product Operations & Initiatives team is a sub-team of Product, responsible for maintaining a high-performing Product function through the ongoing enhancement and improvement in the day-to-day operations of the Product team. The team’s purpose is to identify opportunities for efficiency and modernisation, adopt and maintain best practice, and oversee the consistent reporting of Product management information to Boards and committees. The team also oversees the annual Assessment of Value report and Consumer Duty Value for Money assessments.


Job Description

The role holder will be responsible for supporting the Product Principal in the annual project management and delivery of the Assessment of Value (AoV) report and Consumer Duty Value for Money (VfM) assessments as well as assisting with the annual schedule of Product reviews conducted as part of ongoing Product lifecycle management.

They will also support the Product Principal in the ongoing enhancement of processes and operations within the Product team. This includes working closely with Compliance, Internal Audit and Risk to identify and implement risk management frameworks and processes in line with regulatory requirements and LGIM policy. The role holder will also support with the regular reporting of Product MI to Boards and committees, identifying and rolling out improvements to reporting and broader governance where needed. From time to time the role holder will be involved in ad hoc Projects impacting the team.

The role holder will be a senior technical asset management expert supporting the Product Principal in identifying enhancements to process, risk management, governance and reporting, including specifically the AoV and VfM assessment methodologies. They will manage the identification and implementation of regulatory developments and industry best practice into fund reviews, AoV and Consumer Duty value for money assessments.

The role holder will work closely with Investments, Distribution and other teams such as Finance and Compliance to deliver the annual AoV report and value assessments and will work closely with Product in actioning the outputs of assessments and reviews, managing the action tracking for all outputs.

In this role, there is an expectation that the individual will present at product governance committees, LGIM committees and LGIM or fund boards from time to time.


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the international asset management industry with experience working in industry or advising on asset management regulation and / or Product management and / or development
  • A strong understanding of regulation and strong technical knowledge of pooled product structures (including UCITS and non-UCITS)
  • Experience in product strategy, development and management
  • Product life cycle management
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement; ability to influence and engage across key stakeholders
