Job Description
We’re currently looking to hire a Multi-Manager Solutions Associate to join L&G Asset Management
In this role you’ll be working with our clients to help them manage their private market assets, including researching new ideas, maintaining existing assets and divesting certain allocations, and to manage high levels of internal and external engagement
Conducting in-depth research and analysis on investment managers in the private markets, including private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, natural capital and renewables on behalf of all client channels including DB/DC Pensions, Insurance and Wealth Management
What you'll be doing:
- Working with clients to help them manage their private market assets, including researching new ideas, maintaining existing assets and divesting certain allocations
- Working with different divisions within L&G Group to deliver the best outcomes for our clients as they progress towards de-risking solutions such as buy-ins and buyouts
- External engagement including other investment managers, intermediaries, brokers, consultants, and clients
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis on investment managers in the private markets, including private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, natural capital, and renewables

- Supporting day-to-day aspects of multi-manager fund management, including coordinating with managers, internal teams, and clients on fundraisings, capital calls, distributions, fund extensions, liquidity opportunities, and ad-hoc queries

- Reviewing the risks and performance of products / propositions to ensure they continue to meet the needs, characteristics and objectives of the target market and are delivering good customer outcomes
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Prior experience in manager research within the asset management industry or investment consultancy, or direct investment experience within a private markets context
- Strong understanding of the investment management industry, including investment strategy, fund management, and operational considerations
- Strong all-round knowledge of private market instruments
- Sufficient knowledge of defined benefits and defined contribution pensions and insurance clients, particularly their objectives and constraints
- Familiarity with investment performance measurement methodologies and reporting standards
- Enjoys making new connections internally and externally.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough research and provide meaningful insights within research notes and rating committees
- Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
