Middle & Back Office Utilities Manager

We’re currently looking to hire a Middle & Back Office Utilities Manager to join Legal and General Investment Management Global Operations.

To assist LGIM Global Operations and develop the Middle & Back Office Oversight function aligned to LGIM’s global outsourcing strategy.  This utilities role will also provide support for ad hoc requests to conduct deep dives and analysis into the functions in support of risk & control management, change delivery and continuous improvement.

The primary goal of this role is to assist the LGIM operational leadership team in the development of the outsourcing model from existing internal capability management to outsource oversight and governance. The role holder will be required to lead multiple business teams in developing their oversight capabilities measuring service fulfilment, operational oversight, validation of investment return and functional resilience

• Assist in the design, build and implementation of the Middle & Back Office Oversight Function
• Support in developing & enhancing metrics and management information to monitor the fulfilment and quality of the outsource providers
• Support in developing a resilience plan & risk and controls oversight framework with the business managers which covers both internal and external service activity. 
• Provide continuous improvement oversight to the development of the outsource model enhancing control effectiveness and efficiency
• Manage relationship management / issue escalation meetings with the providers
• Provide wide ranging utilities support to Global Ops, including supporting ad hoc requests for deep dives into risk events, business analysis to help drive requirements and change delivery

• Knowledge in Investment Management Industry covering operational and service delivery capability
• Proven experience managing 3rd party relationships with both engagement and oversight responsibilities
• Demonstrate a good understanding of UK financial service regulations and Operational Risk management framework
• Proven change management and business analysis experience
• Proven capability to working with virtual teams
• Capability to manage relationships on a global basis
• Commercial and strategic approach to management of risk and regulatory matters
• Pragmatic approach and good understanding of business issues and pressures
• Effective at making decisions and delivering great outcomes
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats
