We’re recruiting for a Liquidity and Corporate Sales Director to be responsible for distribution of Liquidity management products; and cross sales of other products (with a focus on active fixed income) via the Corporate channel within L&G's Asset Management Sales team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of Legal and General Asset Management's business plans and sales strategy to drive new business acquisition efforts within L&G’s Global Liquidity team. Liquidity Management (within Global Trading & Liquidity) forms a strategic part of our asset management capability incorporating liquidity and short duration portfolios as well as secured finance.
The candidate will work in conjunction with the wider distribution team incorporating the full range of public market capabilities and working in partnership with the private markets distribution team.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the Liquidity distribution team to develop new and existing client relationships. You will be working closely with regional channel heads (across UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia etc), developing channel-specific sales plans for relevant capabilities tailored to client requirements
- Working in partnership with the Global Head of Trading & Liquidity and other senior Investment stakeholders in setting the strategic direction for Legal & General Asset Management's Liquidity business and act as the voice of Distribution with senior stakeholders in relation to this business area
- Delivering Liquidity sales (including retaining and extending consultant and fund ratings), working closely with the relevant investment and channel heads to drive results
- Attending industry events and conferences to generate new business leads, engaging at an industry association level, and partnering with Product teams to evolve the Liquidity and Corporate client offering
- Bringing money market fund product expertise, and experience of corporate client distribution channels, requirements, and preferences
- Acting as a key spokesperson for the Liquidity products, the Legal & General Asset Management brand and profile
- Contributing to the embedding of a strong and collaborative culture across public and private markets distribution teams
Who we're looking for:
- Relevant sales experience or past experience in a treasury related function (Prime Brokerage, Portfolio Finance, FP&A, Controller, Treasury Management/Associate, Capital Markets)
- Product knowledge of money market and short-term fixed income funds, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving sales growth
- Excellent sales skills and client relationship management
- Willing to travel internationally when required
- Highly detail-oriented, self-starter and team player, with the ability to maintain accuracy and effectiveness while working in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, and collaborate well with others
- Strong stakeholder management skills alongside business development, relationship and pitching experience.
- Proven experience devising and executing business sales plans and designing and discussing investment strategies for institutional and wholesale clients.
