We’re recruiting for a Internal Communication Executive to join us. The role will support the Group Internal Communications team to develop and deliver L&G’s internal communications strategy to maintain and enhance employee engagement within our Group Functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Risk) community.
The role will support in improving employee engagement by helping employees understand what’s going on in the business and how they support our purpose. Providing tactical support to functional leads for engagement activities such as Town Halls and monthly updates.
What you'll be doing:
- Working collaboratively with the Group Internal Communications team to provide support across a range of internal communications activity for our Group Functions community
- Researching and writing internal emails and news stories including stories about our amazing people
- Developing visual, video and audio content for use on our digital channels.

- Developing a network of contacts across business divisions and locations to facilitate the effective co-ordination of internal communications activity for our Group Functions community, providing administrative support for communicating with our line managers
- Recommending methods, channels and timelines we should be working to for different communications so they achieve the desired outcome - whether that’s helping to ensure people know how to use a new IT system, or sharing news that might affect where they work
- Ensuring communications sufficiently emphasise that the fair treatment of customers and employees is central to our corporate culture
Who we're looking for:
- A qualification in the relevant area is desirable but not essential
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Basic digital skills and an appetite to learn new ones
- Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
- Confident in building relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- Be curious to learn about internal communications and employee engagement and gain experience in a busy and ambitious team
- Previous experience working in an internal communications and branding team preferable
Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
- The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
- Generous pension contribution
- Life assurance
- Private medical insurance (permanent employees only)
- At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday
- Competitive family leave
- Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice
- There are the many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online
- In 2023, some of our workspaces were redesigned. Our offices are great spaces to connect and collaborate and have your wellbeing at the heart
