We’re hiring a Head of Strategic Transition to drive the execution of our Enterprise Technology Strategy, reporting to the Group Strategy Director – Digital, Data & Technology.
In this high-impact role, you’ll lead strategic alignment across Group and Divisional priorities, ensuring major programmes deliver clear business value. You’ll own the engagement and communication plan, building momentum and stakeholder buy-in at all levels.
We’re looking for someone who can think big, influence change, and navigate complexity, while embedding a culture of challenge, clarity, and compliance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving the evolution and implementation of the Enterprise Technology Strategy, ensuring alignment with Group objectives and maintaining a clear, benefit-led transformation roadmap
- Initiating strategic programmes across key technology themes—such as data, AI, innovation, and investment—by defining scope, building business cases, and sequencing delivery
- Accelerating innovation through rapid idea generation, experimentation, and strategic initiatives like AI Accelerators, while fostering partnerships with fintechs and tech providers
- Mobilising strategic programmes to generate commercial momentum, managing budgets, and ensuring smooth transition to delivery teams
- Managing risk across the strategic technology portfolio, supporting programme leads and risk functions to implement effective mitigation strategies
- Building strong cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration and regularly updating senior leadership on progress and strategic shifts
- Prioritising technology investments and measuring success against strategic objectives, while coordinating dependencies with the Enterprise Change Committee to sustain momentum
- Embedding conduct risk principles into daily operations to ensure processes deliver positive customer outcomes and meet regulatory standards
- Leading the management of direct reports, applying consistent practices aligned with Group policies to maximise team performance
Who we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated success in equivalent senior roles, with clear evidence of capability and impact
- Extensive background in Asset Management, Protection, and Retirement, with a strong track record in driving cultural and transformational change
- Skilled in navigating complex planning environments, with a sharp strategic mindset and ability to execute across global matrixed organisations
- Adept at bridging business and technology, delivering pragmatic, cost-effective solutions that drive value
- Experienced in enhancing organisational effectiveness through people, processes, technology, and knowledge development
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives, prioritise ruthlessly, and manage high volumes of work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate
- Proven ability to inspire, develop, and mentor talent, fostering growth and high performance
