Our Institutional Retirement division provides pension risk transfer (PRT) solutions for UK and US defined benefit (DB) schemes, and reinsurance solutions from our global hub in Bermuda. We’re recruiting for a Head of Investment Asset Reporting to lead the Investment Asset Data sub-function in the Investment Operations team of our Institutional Retirement division.
Covering production of Investment Asset reporting for key stakeholders in Finance and Investments; ensuring high data quality and operational excellence throughout delivery.
Acting as a lead conduit between key stakeholders’ requirements and operational delivery of Investment Asset Data populated reporting, whilst adhering to data management framework and principles.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the lead Investment Operations business partner for Finance engagement and delivery to a high standard, whilst also supporting the teams partnership across other key stakeholders in Investments, with wider Investment Operations sub-team leads
- Enhancing of the use (and number of) external sources of data, reducing potential for discrepancies and improving data quality to identify opportunities for possible savings in licenses
- Managing Internal stakeholders – liaising with local business units to identify operational improvements and synergies. Identifying of all stakeholders and required communication channels to manage any downstream impacts
- Maintaining the process for sub-teams to raise change management requests, providing any technical support necessary and engaging with MSPs where necessary
- Taking the lead in all matters regarding the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance
- Driving and coordinating senior stakeholder engagements with the aim of developing and documenting strategic team targets, acting as a trusted partner and challenger to business unit leaders, ensuring end to end/downstream operational considerations are made that inform market leading data quality principles
- Being responsible for strategic leadership; shaping and delivering on our divisional strategic focus areas, including making LGRI a great place to work. Ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures to maximise business performance
- TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) Ensuring that the principles of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) are embedded into your day-to-day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensuring that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk
Who we're looking for:
- Strong knowledge of PRT, asset management markets, and industry trends
- Relevant experience of leading an Investment Asset Data reporting function
- Understanding of financial services organisational constructs and regulatory environments
- Deep understanding of investments data, issues and processes required to deliver fit-for-purpose investments data
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess service delivery, data and change management results and activity
- Organisation and time management skills to process and monitor large volumes of information and documents on an ongoing basis
- Strong stakeholder management skills, experience in working alongside senior executives in both group and local business units, comfortable engaging effectively with C-suite executives
- High-level attention to detail with ability to organise, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks within set deadlines, across multiple locations
- Understanding of modern technology, agile change delivery, operating model assessment and design techniques as well as relevant technology software skills to utilise software to keep track of important data and reports
