Fund and Product Operations Analyst

We’re recruiting for a Fund and Product Operations Analyst to join our LGIM division within Real Assets. 

The incumbent will serve as a key liaison for fund managers, asset managers, and fund controllers during portfolio construction, undertaking various tasks related to asset onboarding, which includes physical properties and investments in subsidiary companies.

Following directives, the incumbent will guarantee the prompt provision of calculations, reports, and pertinent information regarding asset acquisitions, maintaining a consistent methodology.

As a proactive individual, the incumbent will operate in concert with diverse internal teams and functions, engaging in a broad spectrum of tasks.

What you'll be doing:

• Collate all transaction documents required to instruct the third-party administrators to purchase the asset including but not limited to:

1. Completion statements (post sign off by FFC)
2. Accounting advice (provided by FFM)
3. Funds flow calculations (prepared by FFC)
4. Third party payment details (provided by lawyers/front office)

• Directing third-party administrators to acquire assets after compiling the necessary information and obtaining authorization from the fund manager or controller
• Ensure  transaction documents (property summaries) have been signed off in accordance with the LGIM RA delegated authority matrix
• Perform pre trade compliance calculations for inclusion in transaction summary papers
• Where required, perform post trade compliance activities (such as instruction of payment of SDLT)
• Complete the financial and operational aspects of Common Standard Property Enquiry requests by coordinating with the accounting and tax teams
• Respond to vendor  KYC requests (including provision of verified fund and LGIM structure charts and other relevant fund information
• Act on instruction from the financial management function and the product and operations lead to open fund bank accounts and set up fund special purpose vehicles

Who we're looking for:

• Background in accounting or operations, pursuing a an accountancy qualification
• Some operational knowledge/ experience relevant to the role beneficial eg experience of private markets funds, fund accounting, processes and transactions
• Experience of operations and finance in alternative / real asset investment funds environment beneficial
• Experience relevant to real assets transactions desired
• Understanding of typical structuring of alternative/real assets funds preferred.
• Proactive, forward thinking approach to tasks, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and independent thinking
