We have a new opportunity for an experienced DevOps Manager to join our Cloud Services team. The role holder is accountable for a team responsible for the effective delivery of systems and services supporting Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for various LGRI technology teams, engaging with consumers of DevOps tooling within LGRI and 3rd party service providers. The efficient delivery of DevOps tools and continuous integration centre of excellence, supports LGRI’s continued financial growth, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for the monitoring, support, administration, maintenance and configuration of multiple tools to support the various DevOps pipelines, release management and platforms.
- Working with stakeholders to improve the build & deployment practices associated with DevOps pipeline tools.
- Building self-serve capabilities such as guides, templates and automations, and conducting training as required, on the optimal use of DevOps tools.
- Responsible for capacity, availability, change management and knowledge management activities for the services offered by the Continuous Integration team, and undertaking Continual Service Improvements as a day to day activity
- Continuously maintaining and developing the capabilities of the team to provide CI/CD services that align to the needs of LGRI and evolve with changing business needs, DevOps maturity and best-of-breed tooling
- Ensuring that the principles of Conduct Risk are always embedded into your day to day operations to deliver good customer outcomes. Ensure that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes (TCF) and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk.
- Knowledge of most of: Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Git and similar tools.
- Has knowledge of DevOps principles, practices.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Has knowledge of the various tools used to orchestrate delivery of change, including JIRA, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
- Ability to estimate, plan and manage, work with line managers to manage own
- work and keep within plan
- Proven experience of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery practices, release management and repo hygiene
- Proven operational experience of JIRA, Confluence, and similar management tools.
- Proven experience of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- People management and stakeholder management skills
- Degree level qualification in a technical or numerate field or equivalent experience.
