We are seeking  a Head of Data Solutions who is a proven leader to drive the evolution of Data solutions to our most pressing business opportunities. You will be working with & influencing senior stakeholders across the business, technology, and operations, in pursuit of strategic, sustainable, and scalable ‘data centric’ success.

In this role, you will manage a team of Solutions Partners who engage with each business/function, working to understand how we can promote and drive solutions that optimize our data assets, leverage enterprise data capabilities, and minimise manual / tactical operating models.

As the Head of Data Solutions, you will report directly to our Chief Data Officer, and sit on the Data Leadership Team, participating in the development and execution of the firm’s global Data Strategy.   

What you'll be doing:

• You will be overseeing data solutions within the business and, defining how the business creates additional value through the utilisation of its data assets and analytics.
•  You will promote and drive the education and evangelisation of data solutions throughout the business by communicating the vision and use cases of enterprise data assets.
• Be collaborative with other Data teams & peers within the Chief Data Office, and connect on Technology, Risk, and other areas that will play a key role in supporting the expansion of our solutions capabilities.
• Be able build a mutually beneficial relationships with L&G entity peers to share & advance best practice, drive alignment. 
• You'll manage the Data Solutions teams and oversees all activities ensuring delivery meets departmental and business-wide vision and strategies.

Who we're looking for:

• You must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the Asset Management Industry, asset classes and products, data vendors, methodologies, technology, and data domains.
• Have a collaborative approach to working with and across stakeholders and teams.
• Have experience of business development activities including the measurement of adoption of services and products.
• Can demonstrate a good understanding of data governance concepts including data domains, data ownership, data stewardship and application of critical data element standards and definitions.
• You can show an aptitude for analysis and requirements gathering, and the ability to handle complex and difficult queries or situations.
• Have the ability to analyse complex data flows and map data movement at data attribute level, across operational business processes.
