The role will focus on ensuring that Cloud Controls are operating across the Group in a consistent and appropriate manner and will support Governance changes related to the onboarding of workloads on the central Cloud Foundation services. In this role, you will also be responsible for reporting on Cloud risks and controls to various forums across the Group.
In addition, you will support our Cloud Centre of Enablement (CCE) and Cloud Business Office (CBO) in ensuring that all elements of Cloud Governance, Risk and Control activities are performed in accordance with regulatory and policy requirements.
What we're looking for
- Supporting the Group Technology & Groupwide Technology Senior Risk Managers in the management of the cloud related risks and controls, ensuring that the Cloud Foundation Service and its use by divisions, remains compliant with policy and regulation
- Routinely assessing the effectiveness of Cloud controls, identifying weaknesses and supporting control operators in control improvements to ensure safe cloud adoption across the group
- Ensuring that cloud policies and standards are kept up to date, including understanding the regulatory environment and conducting routine policy reviews enabling good governance and regulatory compliance of cloud consumption
- Preparing and reporting to senior executives on Cloud governance, risk management and control effectiveness in order to inform the leadership’s decision-making processes.
- Coordinating relevant Cloud risk management forums, including agendas and minutes. Act as a key member of appropriate CBO forums and meetings ensuring governance, risk and control are embedded within routine CBO activity. Attending Design Approval Boards as appropriate
- Working with the Group Technology & Groupwide Technology Senior Risk Managers to ensure that stakeholders are trained and aware of governance and risk-related activities
- Defining, developing and delivering processes and systems to ensure a consistent and good level of service that means customers’ expectations are met, is consistent with what we have communicated and is aligned to L&G’s Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly policy
What we're looking for
- Azure / AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Skills, desirable
- Professional risk or compliance qualifications desirable but not essential if have relevant experience
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) desirable but not essential if have relevant experience
In order of importance for the role:
- Relevant risk management experience, ideally within financial services and technology environment
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulation (FCA, PRA, GDPR, PECR), compliance principles and risk frameworks
- Detailed knowledge of risk & corporate governance frameworks, strategies, and policies
- Technical knowledge of cloud environments (e.g. Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge of Cloud and how it impacts risk management
- Experience of working with Cloud environments, and able to design/configure cloud reports to be used for cloud risk reporting
- Subject matter expertise on operational risk frameworks in a regulated environment
- Experience of interfacing with senior stakeholders as well as presenting to Executive level committees.
- Ability to work in a matrixed management environment and to use influence, logic and negotiation skills to achieve outcomes and improvements
- Knowledge, and active interest, in technology trends and associated risks and challenges
