This role and the wider team are responsible for co-ordinating the take-on/mandate change related tasks and activities across the business to ensure that client mandates are implemented comprehensively and in accordance with the client/ consultant’s funding objectives.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing a Project Management service and taking accountability for delivering events for new and existing client mandates across the range of product vehicles (pooled and segregated) within LGIM
- Leading the project from the pitch through to full implementation, observing core project disciplines. (co-ordinating the end-to-end implementation of new client mandates, account set-up & identifying and seeking solutions to non-standards requirements)
- Direct managerial responsibility for 3 people within the Client Onboarding team, ensuring delivery of event work to a high standard, oversight and development of direct reports, including regular 1 to 1s and performance discussions
- Playing a key role in oversight of pipeline within the client onboarding team in monitoring the queues and activity completion by the team
- Providing final quality checks on legal documentation and event workflows in line with client requirements & being instrumental in the reviewing/negotiating client service level standards and reporting requirements, including producing MI.
- Attend or facilitate (as appropriate) client conference calls and meetings, acting as a business advisor on the requirements for implementing new client mandates and client change, providing progress updates to clients in the spirit of transparency and collaboration
- Communicating effectively internally and externally on the progress of client work, holding (where required) regular working group meeting sessions with key stakeholders in order to monitor and manage progress relevant to client change activity. As necessary, attend client meetings and conference calls to discuss and report upon implementation plans and progress
- Maintaining and, where applicable, design and implement, business processes and procedures to support a risk-controlled and compliant environment
Who we're looking for:
- Strong overall Investment knowledge including an understanding of the different investment vehicle options (and current investment, market and economic issues)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing and developing a senior team.
- Track record of contributing to and driving business transformation projects Thorough understanding and appreciation of FCA regulations and internal governance framework
- Excellent facilitation and meeting skills, being able to discuss complex/technical concepts
- A track record of Project Management success, with the disciplines and experience of Onboarding new clients and client change within an asset management environment.
- Strong LDI and derivatives knowledge (including the trading and collateral/margin mechanics of OTC and ETD derivatives)
- Experience of German asset management market including KVGs would be desirable
