We’re recruiting for Claims Consultants to join our Retail Protection Claims team in Hove offering £25,000. This is a customer-facing role where you’ll support people with new and ongoing life insurance & critical illness claims, helping them through what can often be a sensitive and important time.

You’ll be speaking with customers, medical professionals and internal claims teams, making sure claims are progressed smoothly and customers are kept informed along the way.

What you'll be doing:

• Speaking with customers about new and ongoing life insurance claims
• Supporting customers with empathy, care and clear communication
• Liaising with GPs, surgeries, medical professionals and third parties
• Working closely with Claims Assessors to progress claim tasks
• Keeping customers updated throughout their claims journey
• Managing claim-related admin accurately and efficiently
• Identifying complaints and escalating concerns where needed
• Following claims guides, processes and compliance requirements

Who we're looking for:

• Customer service experience, ideally in a phone-based role
• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with customers
• Empathy and care when supporting vulnerable customers
• Good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure while staying calm and professional
• Confidence working with internal teams and external third parties
• Interest in learning about claims, insurance products and customer journeys
