Job Description

Role Overview 

The objective of this role is to lead and execute integrated marketing initiatives targeting LGIM’s APAC (exc. Japan) client segments, in partnership with the Channel Marketing Manager lead for institutional. This role has a primary focus on the wholesale channel in Hong Kong and Singapore but will also support on the region wide and institutional marketing activity with a focus on enhancing LGIM’s brand, its investment capabilities and ESG credentials to help meet business objectives and sales targets for APAC.

The successful candidate will be a marketing generalist with strong experience, covering a range of activities (events, email, digital) and will work closely with marketing SME’s in London to be the dedicated support for PR and video production for APAC. The candidate will play a key role, in collaboration with the Channel Marketing Manager for Institutional to develop and deliver impactful marketing programmes to raise and position the profile of LGIM in APAC as a leading provider of products and solutions and increase funds under management.

Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Marketing strategy: working closely with Head of Channel Marketing (EMEA & APAC) and the Channel Marketing Manager for institutional on leading and executing APAC (ex-Japan) institutional and wholesale marketing plans, contributing knowledge and expertise of effective strategies across all target client channels and countries. This role will have a primary focus on the wholesale channel in Hong Kong and Singapore but will also need to support wider business and institutional marketing.
  • Marketing support and delivery: (i) working with the partner marketing teams in London to help syndicate global thought leadership material in a way that maximises impact with the target client channels and countries in APAC (ii) collaborating with Distribution, Investment and ESG/Stewardship teams to craft region-specific content programme to support the delivery of high-quality campaigns and marketing activity with the aim of driving client sales and retention (iii) working with the ‘virtual’ teams from marketing in London (PR, brand, content, digital and events), in supporting the delivery of high-quality campaigns and marketing activity.
  • Media communications: working with PR partners in London, providing local support on editorial opportunities which will support how the business is profiled in retail / wealth media, active engagement in Stewardship and building the investment insight and expertise and wider relationship-building with journalists. The role will support the team in London in facilitating local media engagement. Supporting the evaluation and reporting including the targeting of priority media, collation of the monthly engagement metrics, tracking experts and coverage.
  • Events/ webinars: providing local event support for regional roadshows, client breakfasts/ lunches, external event sponsorships and LGIM events.
  • Digital marketing: assisting in the preparation and delivery of the digital elements of the annual marketing plan  
  • Video production: working closely with the video production teams in London and the local video production agency to develop engaging videos to support across our marketing priorities (brand building, AFI and private market capabilities)
  • Literature suite and product and capabilities communications: working with product marketing, content and distribution teams in managing and developing our product enablement material. Maintaining and updating brochure, presentation, email and website content.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Consumer Duty accountabilities, including the responsibility to produce and maintain clear, fair, and non-misleading marketing collateral and client-facing material. Additionally, ensuring that divisional standards are upheld, and any concerns are promptly escalated to senior management for appropriate action.”

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience working in the asset management industry and/or financial services with experience of Asia wholesale clients 
  • Experience of project planning and execution of marketing campaigns in APAC
  • Experienced in supporting PR, video production, events and webinars
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to compile timely marketing communications  
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills; excellent attention to detail is required
  • Knowledge of online and offline activities and the application of digital technology to drive customer acquisition and communication activities
  • Experience of monitoring marketing budgets and invoice management
  • Aware of the regulations and legislation governing advertising standards and the asset management business 
  • Medium level of knowledge relating to investment strategies and markets, including segregated mandates, ETFs, equities, bonds, multi-asset, passive and active management
  • Basic-intermediary knowledge of APAC Investment industry, financial markets, products and services, trade publications, event providers and investment platforms
