Assistant Accountant – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We’re recruiting for a Assistant Accountant to join us on a fixed term contract. We’re offering a competitive base salary and strong benefits package.

You will support our finance team with various day-to-day processes and ensure smooth financial operations.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing mortgage accounts and operational tasks
• Setting up and making payments
• Handling purchase ledger and cash management
• Performing bank reconciliations and posting journals
• Reconciling transactions and managing month-end processes
• Ensuring loans are transferred to funders and overseeing revenue streams
• Supporting cash flows, redemptions, and optional payments
• Assisting with month-end reporting and audit tasks

Who we're looking for:

• Part-qualified accountant or stopped studier with experience in a finance role
• Knowledgeable in debits, credits, and reconciliations
• Experienced in handling payments and financial transactions
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Proactive in identifying process improvements
