Job Description

Your role at a glance

Due to substantial growth resulting from transformation of the team, Legal and General Group Functions procurement department is currently looking to hire a new Third-Party Risk Management lead to manage the TPRM team and take accountability for setting and updating associated principles, policies and standards to ensure that the third-party service providers are vetted, monitored, and managed to mitigate risks.

You’ll play a key role in influencing how the TPRM function is perceived within the business, and there will be a lot of opportunity for you to take ownership and shape how this is done.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the development and implementation of third-party risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with regulatory requirements and business needs, working closely with risk
  • Overseeing materiality assessment and reporting of potential and existing suppliers of Legal and General and facilitate third party risk management
  • Performing due diligence of potential and existing suppliers and monitoring compliance against regulatory requirements at periodic intervals
  • Ensuring documentation and records are maintained in appropriate systems and tools and updated at required intervals
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and suppliers to develop risk management plans
  • Taking the lead in all matters with regards to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance.
  • Producing regular Management Information packs for distribution and producing regulatory compliance reporting
  • Ensuring all Risk Management activity is carried out in line with our consumer duty accountability.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Third Party Risk Management practices and strategies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework in relation to Financial Services
  • Proven commercial experience gained from a supplier/vendor management, category management, or business development background
  • Track record in influencing and developing policy in relation to supplier segmentation, with appropriate levels of risk management, in line with regulatory requirements of Financial Services.
  • Ability to influence at all levels, as well as exert authority with a collaborative, inclusive and engaging style with a practical, approach to delivering successful, collaborative outcomes to support evolving business needs.
  • Experience of building excellent working relationships and networks with key stakeholders and leadership teams across organisational boundaries.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to develop, and project a positive image of the Supplier Relationship management and Procurement function.
  • Experienced in managing teams.
