Your role at a glance

We’re recruiting for a Senior Pension Consultant to join our Workplace Pensions team in Client Services on a hybrid basis in Cardiff. We’re offering a salary of £26,000-£28,000 depending on experience.

Never working later than 5pm, you'll have your evenings and weekends off to relax!  Plus, you get to split your time between home and the Cardiff office (1-2 days a week in our Cardiff office).

As a Senior Pension Consultant you’ll be responsible for giving a bespoke service to our highest profile pension clients.

What you'll be doing

  • For our most vulnerable customers, you’ll ensure you consider their circumstances and needs and take additional steps to support them through their interactions with Legal & General.
  • You’ll offer a bespoke service to high-profile pensions customers.
  • Monitoring, analysing, reporting, handling more complex queries and escalations.
  • Take ownership of resolving exceptions and identify process improvements.
  • Mentor, coach and develop colleagues.
  • Problem solve when things go wrong; you’ll use you experience and data to identify trends, share your findings and recommend solutions to colleagues and leaders. 
  • Be responsible for your personal development.
  • Keep your pension knowledge up to date so you can share this with your colleagues and be aware of changes that impact us. 
  • When required deputise for your Line Manager by managing team workload and service levels.

 


Qualifications

What we are looking for 

  • The skills below are really important to us. Rest be assured, we will show you the L&G way. Following extensive training, you’ll become an expert in all thing’s pensions allowing you to give the best customer experience and share knowledge and insight with colleagues.
  • Financial services experience is preferable however, if you are from another industry and have experience in managing customer accounts or high-profile clients, we’d love to hear from you.
  • Strong communication skills. In addition to your day job, you’ll be sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • A strong networker: you’ll need to be confident in working with other teams to develop ideas and resolve problems.
  • Ability to organise your own and colleagues workload.
  • Confidence in using a desktop or laptop and experienced in using MS Office.
