Job Description

We're looking for a Project Support Officer to join Legal & General Affordable Homes, on a 12 month secondment.

Over the next 12 to 18 months the operating model of our landlord services (the services delivered by our Management Provider network) will undergo a period of significant change.  

During that time we expect to deliver on 3 work streams, and work on all these activities has started:

- Migrate all our existing stock to Brolly, our Housing Management System so that all Housing and Asset Management activity is being undertaken on the platform.

- Work through the renewal of our MP agreements, which have an initial 5 year term expiring in Q3 2024, with some members of the group exit the partnership and other staying on for a second 5 year term

- Consider options for procuring some services directly from other suppliers (for example for Responsive Repairs or Block Cleaning) or bringing them in house.

To support this work we're assembling a project team who will work full time on delivering this activity, working alongside the Project Lead and a dedicated Project Manager.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the Project Lead, Project Manager and business SMEs who are engaged with the project with the delivery of the overall objectives of the projects
  • Being an active member of the Project Team, contributing to discussions around all aspects of the project including dependency, risk, stakeholder management and key deliverables
  • Taking the lead in managing internal and external project stakeholders, ensuring they are fully informed on project progress and activity
  • Taking responsibility for deliverables and tasks across the projects, seeing them to conclusion in-line with target dates and project milestones
  • Providing timely information and updates on your areas of responsibility to the project team
  • Producing project related collateral with support from SME leads as needed – including communication materials, process notes, guidance and policies.
  • Communicating project goals and outcomes to the wider business and stakeholders, via a mix of channels
  • Providing administrative and project support to the Project Lead and Project Manager as needed. This might include arranging meetings, taking meeting notes or updating the project plan

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Knowledge of Project Management and associated methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2) would be useful but not necessary
  • Knowledge of Affordable Housing Operations and Landlord Services, or working on multi workstream projects would be great
  • An engaging style and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business
  • An analytic and logical approach to problem solving, technical competence and the willingness and enthusiasm to try out new ideas
