Job Description

Group Finance’s Operational Excellence Team are currently looking to add an Operational Excellence Analyst on a 12-month FTC/Secondment. This role will see you working closely with BAU Teams in Finance & Accounting Operations, identifying opportunities for process efficiency. When opportunities are assessed and prioritised, you will use a suite of tools and techniques to find the right solution.

What you'll be doing

As an Operational Excellence Analyst, you will:

  • Work closely with Finance & Accounting Operations teams to identify and prioritise opportunities for process efficiency improvements in areas such as Financial Crime, Accounts payable, Accounting Operations and Group Tax
  • Manage and deliver end-to-end process improvement initiatives using lean methodology and a suite of tools and techniques
  • Document processes, requirements, and solutions using process maps, data flow diagrams, use case models, and other visuals
  • Determine the most appropriate solutions to be implemented and ensure they are sustainable and effectively embedded into business as usual
  • Act as the main point of contact for business areas and teams, supporting them through the development and implementation of change initiatives
  • Support the timely capture and identification of risks and issues that could affect the successful delivery of change initiatives
  • Support the Head of Operational Excellence to develop training and communications associated with change initiatives
  • Support the production of reporting to show team progress against plan and deliver high-quality and impactful written and verbal reports
  • Support the strategy that implements a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and cost reduction in line with business requirements
  • Support programme analysis and decision making associated with new initiatives, ensuring projects and changes are in line with the companies Consumer Duty commitments

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An understanding of lean methodology
  • Experience in applying lean methodology and continuous improvement principles
  • Experience in making improvements and delivering change initiatives
  • Strong attention to detail and business acumen
  • Sharp analytical skills and data-driven decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to produce process maps, data flow diagrams, use case models and other visuals
  • Experience in delivering change management initiatives
  • Experience in working with Finance & Operations teams or similar functions
  • Six Sigma Green belt desired (but not required)
