Job Description

Your role at a glance

We are excited to announce a rare opportunity for a Supplier Relationship Manager, with experience with experience in Real Assets, to join the Real Assets team as a Lead Strategic Relationship Manager. In this exciting role you'll be responsible for driving and managing performance and commercial acumen across Real Assets strategic outsourcers and third party suppliers portfolio, providing effective third party risk management, ensure that Real Assets’ on-going supply needs are fulfilled by supporting and collaborating with Group Procurement and LGIM GCOO and delivering best practice under the Group Outsourcing and Essential Supplier Services (OESS) policy.  

What you'll be doing

  • Drive value and identify efficiencies during the term of the contract and fee negotiation. 
  • Develop strong supplier relationships across Real Asset suppliers 
  • Understand and oversee the service provision​. 
  • Assist in the management of overall satisfaction with programs, services, and solutions part of the service provision​. 
  • Validate KPI results and attend service reviews​. 
  • Act as an escalation point for material risks and issues and provide information flow to GSSO first line of defence (1LOD). 
  • Work with GSSO 1LOD to perform root cause analysis of supplier risks, issues & service failures​ and to identify and implement mitigating controls. 
  • Provide board reporting, including for the Supplier Management Committee (SMC) and Operating Committee  
  • Support business in managing the services, act as an escalation point for material issues and ensure the oversight at a relationship level compliments the operational oversight 
  • Lead coordination of supplier assurance  
  • Lead due diligence and selection process of new suppliers 
  • To manage the team in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, including the Partnership Agreement, so that the team’s business objectives are achieved consistently. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you’ll need to be an expert in relationship management, with the resilience, drive, and network, to successful manage senior internal and external stakeholders. Here’s some of the experience that we’d love to see:

  • Extensive experience working in Real Assets managing key strategic partnerships.
  • Relevant experience of Supplier Governance, Compliance and Oversight management
  • Good experience and expertise with relevant SRM systems.
  • A solid understanding of the supplier management process.
  • Experience in manging the overall programme of change requests
  • Strong Knowledge of Real Assets/investment/asset management type outsourcers and suppliers including Middle and back-office outsourcing, Front Office technology, investment compliance, regulatory reporting, and valuations services
