Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Oracle Technical Lead who will join our Application Services function due to growth and strategic direction for Oracle Services. The Oracle Capability Lead will provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise in the development, deployment, standardisation and management of Oracle based technologies and services.  The Oracle Capability Lead will work closely with Group Technology, Architecture, Portfolio and Product Management teams to ensure Capability is aligned to current and future demand in terms of skillset and capacity.  The Oracle Capability Lead will work with the Architecture team to understand High Level Design’s and then take ownership of Low-Level Designs to ensure standardisation in approach and alignment to best practice. The Oracle Capability Lead will help shape a high performing technical capability whose focus will be delivering technical capability for Service Delivery and through Project Delivery (Waterfall and Agile methodology).

What you'll be doing 

  • Delivering strong technical leadership in advancing Group Functions Oracle capability and delivery. Ensuring alignment to standards in quality, development lifecycle, security, service continuity, commercial outcomes, governance, policy, processes and tools.   
  • Developing and leading a high performing team, nurturing individual growth.  Act as a mentor and coach to the team members, providing guidance on technical skills, career development and personal growth.  Accountable for individual performance management in collaboration with Portfolio, Architecture and Product Managers.
  • Leading and ensuring the technical excellence of the Oracle Capability by staying updated with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies working in strong collaboration with the Architecture team.
  • Leading and delivering Low Level Designs related to Oracle delivery (HCM and EPM).  Working with IT operations, data and analytics, architecture, and security teams ensure that solutions are designed and delivered against the enterprise architecture, security standards and successfully transition into production.
  • Leading, developing and evolving an Oracle Delivery Roadmap taking into consideration all work taking place within the capability such as Patching, Upgrades, Projects, Change and Critical Change Freeze periods working in strong collaboration with the Group Technology, Portfolio, Product Managers and Architecture Team.
  • Contributing to the IT delivery sourcing strategy that both complements and supplements the internal IT Solutions team considering skills, people development, costs and customer demand.  Take an active lead in the management of third-party delivery partners ensuring compliance to standards and effective delivery in relation to Oracle Services.
  • Setting clear vision and goals for Oracle Capability. Define and track key business performance metrics for the Capability, ensuring alignment with Organisational goals and Objectives.
  • Working with the Portfolio and Product Management team to plan and allocate resources effectively, ensuring the Oracle Capability has the necessary skills, flexibility and capacity to meet objectives.
  • Working in collaboration with the Service Management team, develop and maintain a Service Catalogue for Oracle Service with aligned service standards (KPI/SLAs).  Ensure capability is in place to deliver against commitments and that service standards are achieved and continuously improved.
  • Ensuring a positive and collaborative working environment.  Facilitate effective communication within the Oracle Capability in addition to strong collaboration with Group Technology, Portfolio team, Product Managers and Architects to effectively plan and schedule Oracle delivery. 
  • Driving proactive continuous improvements within the Oracle Capability service to increase resilience, reduce risk, improve customer satisfaction and drive down total cost of ownership

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding with Oracle Fusion HCM, including Core HR, Compensation Management, Talent Management, Performance Management, Absence Management, Benefits Management and Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of data management, migration and integration between Fusion HCM and other business-related applications.
  • Knowledge of business process automation in Oracle Fusion HCM, including workflows, notifications, alerts and escalations.
  • Experience in reporting tools related to Oracle Fusion Services, such as Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
  • Knowledge of Governance frameworks, policies, controls, security features and best practices related to Oracle Fusion Service.
  • Understanding of monitoring and management services for tracking performance, availability and health of resources and applications.
  • Understanding of security concepts and roles-based access control (RBAC) in Oracle Fusion Services Experience in defining security roles, permissions, and data access policies.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management is desirable, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, reporting and analytics.
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials knowledge is desirable.
  • Oracle Associate and Professional certifications are desirable.
  • This role would suit someone with proven experience in technical leadership, guidance and expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Services.
  • Extensive experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) is a must, experience in Financials would be desirable.
  • Experience within Oracle Enterprise Performance Management is desirable,
  • Extensive experience in managing the creation and development of a Oracle Service capability.
  • Experience of continuous improvement in relation to Oracle Services.
  • Extensive experience of the software delivery lifecycle
  • Proven to adapt to different delivery methods: waterfall, Agile or similar structured methodologies
  • Leading the development of people within a technical environment.
  • Experience in aligning a service that utilises in house capability supplemented by 3rd parties to drive efficient and effective operating models.
  • Ability to influence at senior levels and be an ambassador for the function through interpersonal, written and verbal communications to all levels
  • Experience working within ServiceNow, JIRA and KeyedIn
