IT Systems Analyst

As the IT Systems Analyst, you will play an important role in the Group Finance IT (GFIT), function by utilising best-practice assessment, analysis and design techniques to solve business requirements, problems and significant incidents, in order to support the IT Portfolio of change. 

You will work closely with IT Product Managers and other roles across the Application Services and colleagues in the Group Functions Change & Technology Services Teams, along with core delivery partners to understand our system landscape, Interfaces, Data & Processes, making recommendations for change, continuous improvement, automation, efficiency and effectiveness where appropriate.  

• Background in Finance and Actuarial Systems  - desirable
• Good knowledge of systems analysis methodologies and approaches, such as; Gap / options Analysis, Feasibility Studies, Prototyping, problem Identification, Process Mapping, Requirements elicitation etc.
• Experience of working in an application support team, ideally with a Financial Services background.
• Experience of technical IT support and basic understanding of SaaS solutions.
• This could include payment solutions; BACS-interfacing software; financial reporting; reconciliation / payment applications.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, waterfall and agile approaches – required
• Good experience of specific systems analysis techniques such as UML, Activity diagrams & Swim Lanes.
• Comfortable engaging with business users, eliciting requirements and exploring functionality to ensure positive outcomes.
